No way the Leafs trade a needed centre in Kerfoot for Foligno. Why so much love for 15 point Foligno and the disdain for 17 point Kerfoot. A massive overpay for Foligno who certainly isn't 1st line worthy.

That'd do. Don't like having Kerfoot's contract around for the Jones/Werenski/Laine/goaltender/etc. extension year, but that kind of return eases the blow.

Kerfoot doesn’t bring really anything to the table. Foligno is a guy with playoff experience and is a jack of all trades kind of player. Those are the players that help win Stanley cups.

From a Stars perspective, I hard disagree with them not accepting this. Abramov is a good addition to our prospect pool & Brooks is a young center that fills a positional need down the middle, especially if Dallas loses Dickinson to Seattle. Stars re-sign Oleksiak in the offseason & get to add a couple much needed young pieces to the organization? Yeah, I do that deal. Would love a 2nd, but if this is the package that's offered, I probably take it.
