I'm starting to think Carrier could be the guy SEA takes. I hope I'm wrong.

SEA definitely has some interesting options...

Carrier/Ingram — young, cheap, potential

Jarnkrok/Sissons/Grimaldi — scoring depth, good contracts (might even like the contract certainty of Sissons)

Johansen/Duchene — overpaid top 6 centers, bounce back candidates, for fans?

Cousins/Boro/Benning — trade-able depth

Too rich for the Oilers. Most fans don't want Arvidsson due to his relatively slower production the last calendar year or so, but I would still be interested.
One of our top forward prospects and 1st is way too much though.

If the Preds trade Ellis or Ekholm they pretty much control who Sea takes. One of them has to go not only for future assets but for the expansion.

It definitely makes things easier, but I would think it also makes it more likely that Ingram gets selected too though.

What type of deal would you consider? I just think if NSH trades Arvy, he would look amazing playing on a line with McDavid -- I think he would flirt with 40 goals playing next to him.

This is absolutely laughable. This is the sort of return you'd expect for Forsberg.

Why? Curious... the way I look at it is the Oilers already have a younger, cheaper and better version: Kailer Yamamoto.

Past 1.5 seasons:
Yamamoto: 0.90 G/60 + 1.42 A/60 = 2.32 P/60
Arvidsson: 0.64 G/60 + 0.89 A/60 = 1.53 P/60

With declining production I don't see any reason to take of Arvidsson's $4.25M x 3.5 year contract unless a player like James Neal was heading the other way.

All the more reason to play Allard over Benning right now, so NSH knows if they have a RHD to replace Carrier/Ellis

Yea I agree. My rational is that we need top 6 help. Whenever we put Drai and McD together, which I am fine with occasionally to give the team a spark, the problem is that Nuge on his own can't produce offense. Thats the reality of the situation. Yamo doesn't have a ton of finish, which I think he will sort out going into the future, but adding a legitimate goal scorer would be nice.

Like I said, the price has to be right. Given his recent struggles, I was thinking he could be acquired for cheap. Not looking to spend valuable assets for him.

But if a solid piece needs to be sent the Nashville, its best we look elsewhere.
