Buffalo easily declines, we won’t be taking a 2year + cap dump, a guy we let leave and a couple mediocre picks for Hall and Lazar.

Nashville will then ask you to email the offer them so they can print it out, wipes their ass with it, and mail back the results to you.

Cap dump? Kassian is finally playing well on the 3rd line no less and has lots of tread left.
He adds speed and size which most GMs covet. He would easily be the 2nd best RW on the roster.

Buffalo was stupid to let Kahun walk. Edmonton is playing him too high up in the line up, he is a very good 3 LW as evidenced by his track record.

I doubt Buffalo will get a better return, plus Hall has a NTC and will have a say in where he goes.

So classy....

You clearly don't know who Bouchard or Tullio are. Plus Neal would be on the 2nd line in Nashville today. I high doubt Poile would say no to this.

Chiasson is as good as Smith, but would easily be the 3rd best RW on the B's today.

Yeah, it said Buffalo would be extremely lucky to get a first. They're not going to be able to bring a haul of picks or good players. They'd be lucky to get this.

He isn't close to Smith and I'll take Senyshyn over him. He's only good on PP. He wouldn't be on the first unit in Boston unlike in EDM.

I don't think chiasson is as good as Smith. Smith is a perennial 20 goal scorer, whereas chiasson has only scored 20 goals once in his career. I would say he is just a little bit above kase (also has one 20 goal year under his belt). Its only because kase is a younger, less proven player who is injured.

He is clearly better than you think.

Also Senyshyn's advanced stats are meh, but you are entitled to your opinion. Just wondering why he has barely played any NHL games if he is good then.

Well I could say the same of James Neal, but Chiasson is playing and Neal is not.

The thing is Smith is not what he once was and Chiasson is the same as he has ever been. Plus AC is a UFA and a 6'4" versatile Cup winner and most importantly, the B's were considering adding Chiasson this summer.

I think that ship has sailed, but you never know.

He has a high demand supposedly; so getting him for peanuts isn’t going to happen. If Hall wants to play NMC bingo, then I just keep him and let him walk which is better than taking on over priced Bot 6 players. Taking a trade benefits Hall as much as Buffalo so I doubt he’s going decline every move we find. And with that it will allow us to play teams against one another hence getting us a 1st at very least.

Also Kassian is 30 years old already with 3x3.2mil remaining after this year. He’s put up 2 goals and 3 assists in 17 games. Not exactly glowing stats or long run outlook. His peak is 15 goals in about 67 games but this includes 3 or 4 against Buffalo and being on McDavid’s line for parts of it. I could even put up points with McDavid and Draisital; and I cant skate.

Who is Neal knocking out of the top 6? Johansen, Forsberg, Tolvanen, Granlund, Duchene, Arvidsson? I don't know if he even is top 9 with Haula, Grimaldi, and Cousins playing as well as they are the past few games. Then you have Jarnkrok and Kunin as well. I don't know that Neal even gets in the lineup consistently in Nashville with all the bottom 6 forwards. Bouchard is a nice piece though.

"He is clearly better than you think" How?

Senyshyn has 10 NHL games and 4 this season. That's a really small sample size. Bruins didn't want to recall him for an unknown reason and prefer to play 4th liners with no offensife upside. He's played well so far (if you watched him).

Neal represents money in/money out which is reality in a buyers market. He has history there and is easily bought out, but would have value on a rebuilding team for a year.

I am not convinced that Nashville is willing to move Ekholm, but Bouchard is a top level prospect who most Oiler fans will tell you they value extremely. I doubt the Oilers would move him in such a deal, but Poile would take EB and TT on this deal in a heartbeat.

Tullio is the second coming of Brendan Gallagher and Bouchard is the highest scoring OHL first-year draft eligible defensemen in history and played in the AHL Allstar game as a rookie.

This is exactly the kind of deal Nashville is looking to make.

Likely none of these players, but if any are moved, then there will be a spot. But let me be clear, this is a money in/money out deal. The value is in Bouchard and Tullio. If Neal contributes, which is a definite possibility that is an added bonus, otherwise he is easily bought out.

Possibly, but a youngish player who was a mid-round first on a minimum salary deal who was not plucked off waivers by another team says something about a player's relative value.

As a trusted NHL vet, Chiasson's current value is much higher. Senyshyn is clearly a favourite of yours, I get that, but his resume speaks loudly.

I will take the young player over the veteran. Chiasson relies too much on the PP.

Fair enough, but I would bet you $1,000.00 if Chiasson was on the Bruins roster right now, Chiasson would play over Senyshyn every single time.

His coaches simply trust him, aside from PP1 duties, which Puljujarvi just took over, Chiasson can PK in a pinch (he doesn't in Edm anymore, but did in Washington) and doesn't give up much 5v5.

Doesn't matter, if this was going to happen it would have happened in the summer.

Hall, Taylor ($4,000,000 retained) = There is nothing in this trade for Hall.
Lazar, can PK and win face offs = Kahun, can play wing and score a bit more. Considering the added skill set of Curtis about the same value
Kassian, Zack + 2022 3rd round pick (EDM) + 2023 2nd round pick (EDM) = $3,200,000 to 2023-24 (UFA)
Buffalo sucks, if you take out Hall, Reinhart and Olofsson the remaining forwards would make a good AHL line up.

Agree that Nashville may not want to move him based on the playoff race they are in. If Neal's contract expired this year then it would be money in/money out. It has 2 more years. A contact that has over 10M owed for the next 2 years is not easily bought out when you have to write the cheque and take the cap hit over the next 4 years. Guaranteed Nashville is not doing that. They already have more than enough veterans to provide value on a rebuilding team so don't go there. Bouchard has value but every team that is in on Ekholm is going to have to give up a first round prospect like that AND a 2021 first. The only thing Tullio has in common right now with Gallagher is that he was drafted in the fifth round. He is a B prospect at best. Not saying he can't make it but if you have actually seen him play it's obvious he does not play with the same fortitude as Gallagher. Poile is not taking just EB and TT for Ekholm. He will get better offers and that is exactly the kind of deal Nashville will be looking to make.
