The Avs trade: I think its's a good concept for both teams....But Hab have to add....not a second rounder, the Habs first, and another prospect, maybe even Juulsen.

Palhal You are overvaluing Duchene. I agree that a first instead of a second is right. However, the extra prospect is a bit much.

I don't know if he's over valuing Duchene or under valuing Sergachev, he's probably Montreal's top prospects and by a landslide. I agree the 2nd should be a 1st but that's it. I know Sergachev is only a lefty but he's an excellent lefty and will be for a decade or so.

As for the Brodin trade I'd do that before the expansion draft as I don't see Emelin being taken and Minnesota is going to struggle to protect everyone.

Jacketsman61: You're right, but again it's silly season at TDL. Might be Montreal's last change in this year and next to make a real Cup run. Montreal has no that much depth throughout the minors, and price is a UFA in 2018.
If the initial offer that AM89567 made on this post, was the best that Colarado got....I think they should take it.

I think the fact he's a lefty would actually ADD to his value for the avs. That seems to be their biggest weakness is on the left side, top pairing especially. So in that sense, a 2nd may be all that's necessary. I think we all know the price for top young defensemen seems to be much higher than we think.

I agree Matt, what I was referring to is that lefties are a lot easier to get in general not to individual team needs.
