And Edmundson has actually been pretty good this year, so no complaints there. It’s not ideal, but that’s the nature of injuries and a flat salary cap.

Is Northeastern’s season done now? That might be an option, although it probably makes more sense to sign him to an AHL contract, especially considering the fact that Chiarot will be back soon enough. Plus I don’t think the habs would take the risk of putting a 1st time pro in the lineup during a playoff push.

He cannot sign until Sunday, and they offered him an ELC contract already with the possibility of burning the first year. He'd be foolish to sign an AHL contract.

I'm all for Mete with Weber too at this point, Mete's value has gone down the toilet, he used to look good playing top 4 minutes now he can't even get in the lineup over Ouellet. It's the obsession of using Weber in a defensive role, with Mete that combo could potentially be a good two way pairing.

Yeah, the team definitely plays Weber too much. He just isn’t that good defensively anymore, and he needs to play with someone who is a good puck mover. Honestly he’s dragging down Joel Edmundson right now.

I don't trust the coaches to do the right thing and take away Weber's minutes and PP duties. The only thing I see happening is much like 2017 that they put their best puck mover (Markov) with him. Now put in Petry on his offside
