Cup Run Rebuilding on the fly

Description
Bruins have enough cap hit to carry this for the season. I’d recommend sending a 2022 pick or picks to Seattle to pick the Bruins choice of Lauzon, Zboril, or DeAngelo depending on how DeAngelo fits in with the crew.
Senyshyn and Bjork are sweeteners if need be . Leaves the team pretty thin to cover injuries but you hope nothing long term happens.

Leaves about $26M to sign 2 goalies, Bennett, Carlo, Frederik, and Buchnevich... maybe more if Seattle takes on DeAngelo (if that’s what we want to happen)

That confused me also.

All of these trades are lopsided for the Bruins quite a lot.

These are all lopsided in favor of the Bruins by a lot and are easily declined.

You seem to have thought about this and typed it out "on the fly".

Log off.

They don’t like Nylander. They will like DeBrusk more and get another 1st out of it that they can flip to get some D help.

Troll comments. Calgary was interested in Haniffin for Kase straight up!!! They would get Grze (puck moving defenseman) and Ritchie (.75 PPG) for Bennet who has how many points? It’s actually a steal for Calgary.

NYR are going to lose DeAngelo for nothing. Smith is a good contract for them and replaces Buchnevich on the RW. Smith can score 20G per season... when has Buch done that? They get a serviceable D for depth instead of retaining DeAngelo salary and a 2nd round pick.

Toronto says “Nylander fades in the playoffs, doesn’t go into corners... blah blah blah”. Fans hate him and he’s been scratched a game or 2, just like DeBrusk. DeBrusk does not shy away from the corners. It almost a straight up deal, and giving a first for the salary retention and difference from this season stats. And as mentioned before, Toronto can flip this first for other help that they need.

Not sure where you all learned to be a GM, but those are fair deals, where you can argue Boston is losing on all of them.

I also said they could add Senyshyn and Bjork if one of those deal need to be sweetened.

Is everyone on this site a leafs fan and can only say “bad deal... they decline”.

If Toronto declines, the. It’s over to DET for Mantha (minus the first) or Bertuzzi with the first.

For the Rangers... Smith gives them some veteran leadership who’s played a number of playoff cup runs considering the Rangers are rebuilding. Buch did score 21 one season, but Smith has like 8 seasons in a row 20+.

Smith has 5 seasons total in his career of 20+. Any time I see Kase or Moore in a trade it almost looks like a disincentive for the other team to make the trade. They provide so little value for too much money. Sweeteners usually make something better. I can't say that Senyshyn or Bjork are going to convince someone to do a deal because they get put into it.

Buch is far better than Smith which is why you’re trading for him. But if for 1 second you want to argue that then remove the Buch trade because it isn’t close. As for ADA, he will cost us 900K next season. A season where we regain 11M of the buyouts and 5M from Smith and JJ contracts ending.

I get what you’re saying on ADA, but wouldn’t you want a pick and a player instead of just dead salary?

Bruins could use him so they can move Grze out, but they don’t have to do this either. They can take a flyer on him next season at a near min deal like most are preferring.

So basically, a player you are going to lose and cost you $900k becomes zero value in the trade. You are getting Moore, Smith; and a 2nd for ADA. Seems like a win for you doesn’t it?

I’m a Bruins fan. These are terrible for the other teams.

Calgary was not interested In Kase 1 for 1. They had interest in him....period. And that was before the concussion. He has no trade value now. Boston wanted Noah. Calgary was not interested in trading him. Even less now. A writer speculated because Boston wanted Noah and Calgary wanted Kase maybe they work out a package. There was never any interest from Calgary 1 for 1.

Rangers are not using Buch to move Deangelo who NOBODY wants or will trade for, anymore than the Bruins would use Pasta to move Moore. Dumb. Buch has more value than Smith. Plus they take on a bad contract. 🙄 C’mon. TDA is an RFA at years end and they will non-tender him and be done with him.

Nylander is soft and overrated. Leafs still pass on that.

We don’t have room for smith, he would become 4th line for us. Moore just jams us up on D where we have more youth coming up. Both of those guys have too much term for us but would work for another team I’m sure. The pick would be great but it on its own is probably an over pay for ADA. Move the other 2 guys somewhere else and ADA is yours for future considerations/a beer... hahaha and well hold on to Buchy

DeAngelo has 1 more year after this one. $833k for 2 years.

When Kase comes back, we will see if his trade value is restored. It might have to be a trade to Chicago who is willing to eat a bad contract this year.

Would love DeBrincat for DeBrusk and Kase, but that $9M qualifying offer looks to be out of the Bruins price range.
