This is my first post on here, I have been reading some of these over the past few months and wanted to give it a go.
Defence
With the quarantine situation, I don't think Chevy will want to make many deals, if any, at the trade deadline. However, that may not be a bad thing, as we wouldn't have to overpay any team for any given player, so we could go for Dougie Hamilton, which really ties our defence together nicely. I didn't resign Forbort, as he will probably be looking for a raise after the fairly good season he is having, and I would much rather use the cap space for some of the other signings and for contracts that will soon be ending.
Offense
Man, that centre depth is scary. I think that Stastny would want to resign in Winnipeg, and he has statistically played tremendously with Copp and Ehlers, so I kept that line intact. I think the Jets are going to give Perfetti the Kyle Connor treatment next year, and put him on the first line with Scheifele and Wheeler, which could be an interesting offensive line. The Connor-Dubois-Vesalainen Line is just an idea, as I think the speed of Connor and Dubois could help Vesalainen find his offensive game. The fourth line has just been on fire when together, and are both sound offensively as well as defensively, so they would be (arguably) the best fourth line in hockey. These lines could honestly just be rotated, as there is not really a dedicated first line; there's enough talent on each line to create offence and be solid defensively.
Goalies
I wouldn't keep Brossoit. He is having an amazing season, and I feel like he is going to command some money, which he definitely deserves after this season. But that makes room for Berdin, and just about every Jets fan is excited to see him play in the League, as he has been pretty solid in the AHL.
Expansion Draft
I would let Demelo go, as it frees up cap space, and lets some of our younger, more promising d-men play in their place (Stanley, Heinola). I don't have Samberg up on the NHL roster, as I feel he needs an extra year in the AHL to get comfortable; he hasn't been too good on the Moose this season, but after Beaulieu's contract is up, Samberg could very easily slot right in his spot.
Future
There are quite a few contracts that are ending after the 2021-22 season (Appleton, Vesalainen, Dubois) that may be looking for a significant raise, so the extra cap space, along with the possible retiring/leaving of Perrault, Stastny, Little, we would have enough cap space available until Blake Wheeler's contract is up (which should free up some money? Maybe?).
I like a lot of what you have done here, but I would look to pay Pionk maybe a little bit less, and I would play someone like Samberg or pretty much any other signing over Beaulieu.

I agree with you, but in reality, if Morissey has a cap hit of 6.25 mill, then I could see Pionk demanding around the 5.5-6 range. Would love to have Samberg over Beaulieu, but lets be real here, is Maurice going to let that happen? Probably not

Oh man don't get me started on that guy. I'll tell you straight up I am not a fan of Maurice. Like at all.
If Hamilton makes it to free agency there will be a major bidding war on him, Teams like New Jersey, Detroit, Ottawa teams that have major salary to burn. Hamilton will get at least 7 x $8,500,000 if not close to Pietrangelo money.
How much do you think Hamilton would ask for? Similar to Pietrangelo, 8.5-9 mill? and Stastny would hopefully take a pay cut to stay on the team, but if Pionk could be signed for less I would put that money into Stastny with some of the extra cap space that is available

He was definitely a good coach to begin with when he first came, but I feel like if we do not exceed expectations this season, I think he needs to be booted out the door and someone with a fresh perspective needs to bring this team to the promised land

Thats fair. With the extra cap space the Jets have, they could outcompete other competitors for Hamilton, but I think that the way he is playing and at his age, I agree with you, he would be looking for 6-7 years, 8.5-9 mill.
I like a lot of what you did, the top 9 looks unreal. I agree that Perfetti gets the Connor treatment (one good thing about Pomo). Hamilton likely costs 8.5-9m like others have said for 6 years, stastny I could see taking that deal. While yes it’s a pay cut, he loves it here and he gets to play with unreal wingers. Even if you give him 4 or 4.5m it’s still reasonable. I hate saying this, but I think pionk is going to go to arbitration. Unless the Jets give him what he wants, I think it could be another trouba situation only due to the $ factor.
Also, poolman back for 1.5m, while sending Beaulieu to the moon would be ideal to shore up that 3RD spot.
Jets aren't likely in the bidding for Hamilton. But you can get good value in two 4m players. Jets, one of the few good teams with cap next season.
Jets will be in the bidding for sure, Hamilton wants a smaller market, that’s wpg, and they have the cap space and the competitive team Hamilton wants. Either way, if they don’t get Hamilton they’ll be able to shore up the d core with some signings like Savard, and maybe hamonic.

One thing about Winnipeg, they have a horrendous travel schedule in the central division post Covid. I think Hamilton stays on the cozy eastern US coast for travel and other reasons.
But teams with cap should attract someone cap. Are current versions of Savard and Hamonic better than DeMelo?

I think Savard is daylights ahead of Demelo, hamonic is likely better too, but regressing quickly. Savard also brings some security in terms of locking up PLD since they’re buddies.
I don’t doubt dougie would rather stay there, but who has the cap and can offer the contending team in a small market like Winnipeg can? Not really many teams can.

I like the Poolman idea, he has been pretty solid, I assume we trade Beaulieu for a pick to a team like Pittsburgh who needs some grit and some D help?

Or include him to seattle as a sweetener, as I feel like seattle will want to select berdin, Appleton or Harkins over demelo.

Maybe Hamilton does stay on the east coast, but what team is competitive and can afford his contract on the US East coast?

From some of the mock drafts I have seen, it feels like Seattle is going to be stacked on D, and have some good picks at goalie, as well, though. I honestly wouldn't mind losing Harkins and adding Beaulieu to the deal? The Jets have a lot to consider for this expansions and this could all change come trade deadline if there are some moves to be made, so who knows :/

Yup that is exactly how I feel. He was a good coach to take a relatively low skilled team and make them play well, but we have many talented players now and it just feels like he keeps a leash on guys sometimes and won't allow to play the game that suits the players. With the roster the Jets have, it should be free flowing offence. There is also no reason why we need to rely on luck and goaltending to win us games all of the time. Also taking out players like Beaulieu should be an obvious thing to do. It's just things that are so obvious seems to blind Maurice and I do not understand that.
Welcome to CapFriendly! As top-of-the-table* @tsyls says, This is really good for a first effort!
The top 9 you have here is very impressive. The main issue (as it will be with most teams being threatened with losing their fourth-best defenseman through the expansion draft) will be the effect Seattle has on their future. I feel, like some of your responders, that Hamilton will get more but Pionk will get less, so I don't think that he will base his decision on money, per se.
