It's a lot if there is a deal in place to sign Oleksiak to an extension. If Dallas is able to sign Oleksiak back in the offseason, you're essentially getting DeBrusk & Bjork for Hintz. IMO, Hintz to DeBrusk is at worst a lateral move. The big value transfer in this deal lies in what happens with Oleksiak.

I thought you would want Hintz, because he can play both center and wing, and he is playing better than DeBrusk is.

debrusk is a healthy scratch and looks lost on the ice right now. i think hintz ceiling is higher than debrusks ceiling as well for what its worth. hintz/oleksiak even as a rental and a 3rd >>>> debrusk bjork and a 5th. and again im a bruins fan lol.

I'm a Bruins fan and I think Dallas would much rather keep Hintz. Both seem similar in play styles though, I just really like Hintz' upside more.

If the Bruins think Debrusk is MIA this season, I wonder a trade for Nashville's upcoming UFA Granlund would be good for both teams.
Nashville hopes Debrusk plays to his potential in future years, and Bruins get a competent winger for this year.

I guess now is the time to pounce on getting Hintz. I pay this price for Hintz 12 times out of 10.

I haven't watched the Bruins much at all this year, so I will gladly defer to y'alls judgement on DeBrusk. If the stuff you're saying about him is accurate, then I would agree that Dallas doesn't make this deal.
