They would just because Kerfoot could actually help the Sabres. Low cost .5 per game center that can move the puck. Added benefit + a second round pick for a UFA who is 36 and likely will not resign. It Sounds like sabres way of thinking.

The sabres are not trading draft picks this season. they have mitts, lazar, or Cozens who can fill in line 2

Nashville will want a different prospect than Hallander

And they will lose Taylor Hall at the deadline, and Stall Next Season. Stall is a Rental both for Buffalo and for Toronto (Should they acquire him ) So you get a cost controlled all round piece that is 10 years younger and produces as Stall and you get a second rounder. Sabres might make the playoffs....
