Not sure about this deal as a Buffalo fan. Staal seems like a good mentor for Cozens, but Buffalo could probably consider his trade in the TDL. I'm more interested in what happened to Compher this season and why his produce has dropped so much, I would not want this contract to be an albatross.

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about. The Avs generally speaking are scoring less particularly 5v5, and I think it is a combination of things. No training camp and what camp they had they had key guys missing because of various reasons not the least of which is Covid. Then injuries which has jumbled the line up, then another Covid pause. Compher has always been streaky, and he isn’t a play driver. I think Bednar has asked him to do more of that and he has struggled. He is at his best using his speed and playing in space. With all the start and stops, mixing of linemates and more than a bit of gripping the stick he is struggling.
