This addresses our current problems so this works

Bruins need a top4 LD, not another RD.

Lauzon is the top4 left D and savard replaces miller who prob won’t be back.

That was my first reaction too but the more I think about it with Miller’s status up in the air I see a world where Savard makes sense. I also prefer him as a player compared to Murray, Edler, etc. he also doesn’t require a 1st rounder like Ekholm will. The one argument against is if the B’s feel comfortable with Lauzon going back to the right side, but he’s been really solid next to 73. I’m also not very high on Clifton so if Miller can’t stay healthy, I’d be against cliffy being an everyday guy

Lauzon is not a top4 LD. Anyways, Bruins have Clifton for RD3.

Noway would Yzerman move Mantha at the TDL, if he were to be moved it would be in the summer. Yzerman is only moving pending UFAs now would need to be a by far better offer then this to move Mantha at the TDL.

What are the problems for this team then? With miller put we need a RHD we have no secondary scoring besides coyle and smith and our 4th line is stale. But what problems do you have

They have committed to playing the kids they aren’t going to play them all year and then sit them come playoffs for a rental. I believe they like lauzon in the top4 specifically next to Charlie so that means we need to replace miller. In comes savard I don’t see the left side getting added to unless someone goes down for the year. Savard is also a righty

Ritchie has been good at 2LW all year what’s wrong with him there? If everyone is healthy there is no hole at LHD like I said they aren’t going to play the kids all year just to sit them in the playoffs. Mantha is on a crazy good deal 4 years under 6 mil I don’t think it’s an overpay. Maybe take a pick out if you want but Debrusk is a depreciating asset and don’t discount glenndening value coming back best faceoff guy in the league right now while chipping in offense would be a great add to 4th line

of ritchies 14 points this year so far, 9 have come on the powerplay. he has only gotten 5 5on5 points.
He is not a 2nd liner (as much as i want him to be, im a bruins fan afterall), but putting biases aside and being realistic, he isnt a 2nd liner right now.
