No thanks. These are pretty lateral moves production-wise. Pens would rather keep the cheaper players and keep the defensive depth in Riikola.

Jankowski, Rodrigues, Lafferty are AHL players, putting Jared McCann out there on a line with 2 of them is sad. The ZAR-Blueger-Tanev line is the true 4th line, not the 3rd. These moves are fairly cheap and give us a chance of having a competent 3rd line. Hextall can restock picks and depth in the offseason, but this team is deep.

And Haula and Ennis are playing like ahl players this year production wise. The buzzsaw line of ZAR-Blueger-Tanev are killing it. I don’t think it matters what line they are called but they are going to get 3rd line minutes lol. I think if they can upgrade the other bottom 6 line that they will just split the minutes pretty evenly among the two lines.
I don’t see what picks and prospects that Hexy is going to restock on lol. He doesn’t have anyone that’s tradable and getting a decent return. He likely uses McCann as an exposed piece to keep Seattle away from Tanev. Cause I see them protecting Blueger over McCann right now.

I think the Idea here on Riikola is that he's not waivers eligible so depending who you keep up you might have to move him out.

Yeah but with everyone healthy it’s most likely that Dumo, MP, and Matheson are the 3 LD, so they would likely send POJ to the taxi squad since he wouldn’t need to clear waivers and he would still be with the team so it’s an easy call up if injuries/covid strikes again. I doubt they put anyone on their off hand if they don’t have to like is being suggested in this agm.
