This trade makes Detroit worse. They don't have enough pieces in place, they need the 3 players and draft pick more than they need Eichel. Plus the last time a single player carried his team to the playoffs was the 1998-99 season and that player was Dominik Hasek. I don't know about the but with the way the NHL is now a single player can't carry a team so giving up that much for 1 player isn't very smart. Look at the Oilers they arguably the 2 best players in the world and they have only made the playoffs once in the 6yr they have been together.
