I don't get the point because you got Burns out but then you sign Mrasek and Gusev who combined make the same money. And you signed all your young players to one year deals so you are going to be in trouble next year anyway and the team still sucks.

Not sure if Habs make this move but it is interesting. Meloche seems like a good addition to play behind Weber and Petry. Truchon-Viel could be an interesting middle 6 winger scored a lot of goals in Q but it has not converted to the AHL yet. Both have decent size, It is an interesting idea.

I don't see Seattle just taking Burns off the Sharks hands without a bribe. If I'm the Sharks looking to bribe a team to take a bad contract I'm probably dumping Vlasic, but that would probably require giving up the next 3 1st round picks, I really see that becoming the ugliest buyout in NHL history, as you have done here.
As far as the other moves, I don't love the signings. I don't think a buyout of Jones is a good idea especially if you have cap space and a Vlasic buyout at the same time. He has been ok this year and seems to give you only slightly below average goaltending when paired with another somewhat competent goalie.
Virtanen is worth a look for a 3rd but he is probably just more of the same as what Sharks have in the AHL. IMO Sharks need to move out what ever term they can bring up some of the guys from the AHL and see what they got. Hopefully guys will play well and the Sharks can trade off some of the redundant pieces for slightly higher picks and draft some young stars. It will take some luck.

Mrasek is ok for me because if a team is so good they won't need a higher end goalie. I think they could go back to Jones because he's been good this year, you get him for cheap, and improve on the rest of the team. Forget about Gusev tho
