The oilers would never make that offer, they would be idiots to make that offer. It is ridiculous and the ducks would be idiots not to take that. It is a massive overpay. It would be the most by double any goalie ever went for in the NHL histroy

I never said they should, I said the opposite in fact. It is an overpay, the Oilers shouldnt do it. That is not a massive overpay though. The Oilers dont have the top end prospect the Ducks would want as a centrepiece.

If you are talking about a prospect like Lafrenière then yes. But Rangers would never trade him for Gibson. So now if you are talking about the Oilers 1/2 future top 2 D and a first line winger all for Gibson being B prospects, then we have a difference of opinion on top prospects. Bouchard just hit the NHL and is project to be our futer number 1 D, Broberg is our future number 2 D and is totally on track. Holloway is absolutely tearing up college and will be playing on McDavids wing hopefully next year, if not the year after.

Broberg and Lavoie. They’re not in the top tier of prospects. They may be in EDM top 3-5 but they aren’t high end.

Broberg is number 2 and now number 1 since Bouchard was told by Holland he is playing every night and Holloway is number 3 and that is what we were talking about.
