I like Benett but Mikheyev despite his slow start has been a superb player for us and has replaced Kapenan on almost every aspect except speed. In general it sucks Benett never panned out the way they hoped but hes still a good player. Hope his agents right about a change of scenery and if its with the leafs it will be intriguing

for the sole reason of mikheyev being expansion exempt Flames accept. There are other reasons of interest as well but that ones at the top

Not what they said, he's open to a change of scenery. Probably bc he was told he would get to play center and he's on the wing with 11th man PP time (somehow behind Lucic on the PP depth)

Bennett’s agent is known for being a prick I don’t put anything past him. Treliving didn’t leak this one the agent did.

How about the fact that he’s flat out better? He’s doing everything but scoring right now but he’s been flying out there.

Maybe Engvall and Dermott are dispensable but not Mikheyev.

Sam Bennett is like treliving’s son to him too so I doubt this is met without at least a little bit of negotiation.

The way he's blowing past defenders I am not sure that is even really a fair statement. Mikheyev is hands down way better than Kapanen. The scoring will come, it may not be a huge scorer but the rest of his game is just so good.

With the game Lehtonen played today, I don't think Dermott is expendable

true Mikheyev played his ass off tonight and almost suffered a serious injury. I just got one question for them refs. HOW THE **** DID THIS NOT RESULT IN A PENALTY. Does Mikheyev have to bleed or break his legs before thats a penalty. Like I didnt watch the game but what Nurse did was very dangerous and could have led to an injury. Im no expert but I have a feeling the NHL is gonna have a discussion to the referees about that one cause letting plays like that go is not wise.

I guess they were making up for Thursdays game where everything was called lul. Sure let them play but not calling a dangerous play like that is unacceptable

The one call that made me laugh was the Lehtonen penalty cause if u look at the replay Lehtonen gets thrown down by Pulijarvi yet he takes a penalty lul. Man refs never cease to amaze me ah well 7 out of 8 points aint bad and now we get a much needed rest for Freddie.

Im all for letting players play. But when I see a play that can result in a severe injury not being called thats when I question the system and the officials. Mikheyev was very lucky to not be injured by that as that easily could have resulted in a broken leg. I have a feeling the NHL player saftey is gonna have a discussion with those referees as we cannot be allowing plays like that to go unpunished.
