Don't see this happening because Anaheim probably wants to keep Fowler and same for the Bruins with Coyle. He'll be the 2C when Bergeron/Krejci regress. Liked Heinen but they moved on from him and he isn't a center. Vaakanainen also has top4 potential so we can just wait and see how he does at training camp.

Bruins will likely try their internal options first at the training camp and then, maybe make a move for a top4 LD if nobody can take the the 2nd pair role. Chara could also be back.

If the Ducks do trade Fowler they would want to be getting younger so someone like Coyle wouldn’t be of interest coming back in that scenario

Fowler has a really tight NTC. He can only be traded to 4 teams. Boston is not one of them. Coyle also has an NTC but not as limiting. Boston loves Coyle and what he brings, doubt they consider moving him. Ducks decline on value. Fowler alone worth more than the package coming back.

Fowler is the best/most valuable player in the deal. Boston wins this trade easily, and I love Coyle.

LD1 and 3rd liner for 2nd liner and d man that projects to be average at best in the NHL. A 4/5 type. Trade favors Bruins.

Not really. He’s definitely better offensively than he is defensively and he’s not physical. But if those are the standards we are going by then there only 10 to 15 first pair guys in the league. 🤷🏻‍♂️ If you think you can name 30 better LD good luck. I’d say he’s in top 20 LD.
