It's not a bad contracts since Kane has consisently put up 90-100 every season and it has 3 seasons left, if it had 5+ that's a different story, so for Kane your going to be adding a lot more

just a thought....I think a Big name player WOULD play with Sid or Geno and try to make it work but there can only be 1 player per line I think that is "the guy that wants the puck" so IDK if it would work.

I actually agree on the value of Kane. Not because he's going to the penguins here but his value in general. 32 does not fit well with a huge trade. You are talking 2-3 years of useful play at best.
Not that he's totally worthless at 35-6 but there will be decline. He will not be the same player you are getting now. Who is one already in decline. Father time is undefeated.

So a 1st + an A prospect sounds about right. No team is going to give up something ridiculous like 4 1st for him. That's insane. Adding Zucker a 1st and a very good prospect is a fair trade.

Now is it in CHI best interest to do this. No, it's never in a teams best interest to trade a player like that. But CHI has decided to rebuild apparently. You have an aging star, who doesn't want to rebuild, who is still playing well. I'm not sure how that plays out and if Kane demands a trade, I wouldn't go expecting the world. How many years does it take CHI to turn it around, this year they should have got a better pick. They been riding the bottom for some time. How many years does he have left playing at his currently level 2-3. It's a bad calculation for Kane to say, I'll stay here and still win.

Theres a lot wrong with this, IMO. But the McCann trade is criminally. McCann has had back to back 35 point seasons. 19 goals in 2018-19. He’ll score 20 plus this year. Has been bounced around from 3C to top 6 LW, to 3 line LW, to 2C when Sid or Geno miss time. Has been moved all around wherever we need him. And he’s only 24 years old and played in the NHL since he was 19. Won a roster spot at 19 years old and never looked back. He’s gonna stick on the LW this year(already said by JR) and do what he does best, and just snipe!! And put the puck in the net. He’ll score 20 plus easily, with the consistency of plying the same spot every night. Exactly what young players need. A routine and consistency. That’s how u ruin players by moving them around everywhere. Usually veterans are the best and able to that; be a utility type player. Again, McCann is only 24 years old still. Ya, Dallas would need to add. Atleast a 1st round pick. Atleast the value of what Kapanen got.
