The Islanders trade is bad for Detroit and the Tampa trade is bad for Tampa

Since the Isles would probably just bury Gagner and Biega I think they would say yes.

Fans are split on Ho-Sang, some think he is an arrogant player who will never make it and some (like myself) think he just needs an opportunity in the NHL. But he would be a disaster on the 4th line, if you are not playing him in a top 9 role don't bother playing him.

Detroit shouldn’t be giving up a 2nd in the NYI trade.

If Tampa has to give up a 1st and Cernak they’ll want Johnson gone before Killorn.

Remove the second in the NYI trade and I’d consider it. Tampa absolutely gets fleeced in that trade. Zadina is coming over when the season starts and Seider can’t until the SHL season is over.

Yeah, the 2nd is unnecessary. Let's at least be realistic. You can also change Gagner to Erne. You guys just signed Gagner, can't imagine you trade him before the season starts.

So Boychuk, Ho-Sang, 1st for Biega and Erne. I'd throw in another prospect like Robin Salo too.

Isles trade is a pass
No chance the 2nd is going back and ho-sang is replaced by bellows or Wilde. Wings also not trading gagner.

Tampa deal is fine, no 3rd going back though

I think thats a massive overpay to move a useful and not overpaid player in killorn. Cernak alone is worth a 2nd and packaged with killorn is positive value (which we'll ignore for the sake of argument). Are you saying tampa would trade a 1st for glendenning and a 3rd?

Both Gourde and Johnson have a NTC. Killorn had a modified one, so he can be moved while they would likely rather move Gourde or Johnson, getting them to waive their NTC could be hard, so Killorn and might be one of the odd men out. Tampa would have about 6 million in cap space, allowing them to sign Sergachev or Cirelli, they would just need to move Gourde or Johnson to sign the other RFA now. A first might have been a bit greedy, but what other team with the cap (that Johnson and Gourde would consider waiving for) would be willing to help them out?( maybe forget the pick or go for a lower one)
