Tampa isn't stupid. The whole point of trading Johnson is to get rid of cap. Johnson is also better than Krejci. Sergachev is worth more than a 1st and 2nd. Again Tampa isn't stupid. This might be the dumbest trade I've seen.

Tyler Johnson freaking cleared waivers FFS. No one wanted him for FREE when they had the chance. Over the last two years Johnson has 78 points....Krejci had 73pts last season alone.

This new trade is a little better.........I suppose. They lose Palat, which the Lightning probably don't want, but might have to. By the way, why are you playing Palat on the 4th line. I think if this is Johnson instead of Palat Tampa accepts easily. With this current deal they'd probably think about it.

Would someone grab a 60+ pt center for $5 million a year....yes, yes they would. Hell if you waived Krejci now, someone would claim him even at his current contract. The guy is one of the top #2C and when the playoff roll around his play doesn't drop off. The guy has led the playoffs is points twice for his career.
