Ron Francis is on record saying the flat cap will work in the Kraken’s favour. While Ottawa isn’t close to a cap crunch, this might be a very manageable 3 yr contract for Seattle if packaged with a pick or a prospect.

Brannstrom for me is the great unknown. I believe he’s a top end prospect still, but it’s the left side vs. ride side thing that is such a huge part of the Sens d strategy for the future. If he goes to the right then I agree with you, if not I think we’re still light on the right.

im kinda shocked you guys are discussing Pesce like this. hes a top pair RHD on a very very great contract for years. Carolina isnt moving him for Thomson and a 6th, nor will they move him for Brown and Thomson.

That's... completely off. I've watched Pesce a lot, and in the last few years he's shown he would be a top pair guy on any other team AND he's on a heck of a contract. To get him you'd pay what you normally would to get a top pair RHD, which is more than Thomson and a 6th
