Kopitar has won 2 selkes and had many more votes than Barkov in that time despite being on a rebuilding team.

People who actually know what they are talking about will tell you that Barkov isn't even close to having a better two way game than Kopitar. Kopitar has always been known for being one of the best two way centers in the league for a long time now and that's still the case.

I just don’t agree with eichel. To me he’s around 15-20. Barkov is super elite defensively I can respect including him but Eichel hasn’t accomplished anything I think as deserving. No playoff games no individual awards nothing as of yet really stands out. Elite centre yes top ten not yet in my opinion. If use the bad team argument that’s somewhat fair but they have a trophy that’s normally designed for these cases called the hart. Hall won it with jersey so eichel should be able to stand out enough to win it with buffalo. That’s just my person view don’t expect much to agree.

Sure its good to make predictions and stuff, but using #fancystats to see who was the better play on a stat that does show how good you were is trash

It does matter if your create chances, because if I'm shooting on your goalie I doubt ur shooting on mine. I agree though that stats aren't always the way to go.

Hockey is a back and forth game. you can be createing as many chances as you want, but if you arent finishing, then they dont matter.
You could keep me hemmed in my zone for 2 mins by creating a ton of chances, but never finish. I could go on a breakaway on the same shift and score.
