You may be interested to learn most young elite players are either mediocre or solid as 18 year olds in the NHL: Seguin, Barkov, ROR, Gaborik, Rick Nash, Joe Thornton, Lecavalier, Shanahan, Neely, even Gordie Howe... wayyy more common than Laine/RNH/etc.

If Strome was offered to Ottawa for this, I'd do it, but if you're going to offer this to Min, ask for Dumba. NYR don't need Dumba? That's fine, three team deal, Ottawa takes Dumba and gives their 2021 2nd round pick, and their 2022 5th round pick to NYR, better picks in each round, because it's Ottawa. Dumba for Strome seems fairly even, but if there's a need for a balancer, Ott and Min can hash that out.

Strome deal is pretty much the the only one that works here.
