  1. Desharnais, David
  2. Sergachev, Mikhail
  3. Choix de 1e ronde en 2018 (MTL)
Détails additionnels:
Avs need defence and are struggling again so far this season. It might be time for them to make a major shakeup. Habs need to solidify their top 6 centers for the playoffs. They pay a steep price by trading Sergachev and a future 1st.

Interesting offer but I would have to say no, I dont like the DD and 1st round partt doesnt do much for me (which will be a late pick). Sergachev is going to be good but he doesnt help the Avs now. I hate the lazy Avs need D comments. Does anyone actually look at their roster and farm system?

EJ, Barrie, Zadarov, and Weircoich have been damn impressive as a Top 4 this year, their Fancy Stats are solid in shot suppression and have some of the better allowed goals per game averages in the league.

IMO, the deal is tempting for both sides. DD isn't really of value being a UFA next year and the draft pick might be as low as 31st. The big advantage of the Avs is clearing cap space and using that money elsewhere along with getting maybe distant help in the draft pick, an near distance help in Serachev. But I agree with bishopdad. If Montreal makes a run, likely it would be for Dmen.

Wiercoich is going to be paid next year for sure.

Ottawa was dumb to let him go just bc they were too cheap to pay his 2.5m qualifying offer. Hes a solid guy to have on the 2nd pairing and is a weapon on the PP.
Avs dont need D. They have a good mix of established RHD and some really solid LHD young guys on the roster and in the farm system.

Avs need Wingers, especial RWers. Thats the major organizational need right now

I'm not sure I'd trade Sergachev straight up for Duchene. The kid has Provorov V2 written all over him except bigger. Love Duchene but not for Sergachev.
