It's not a trade involving Toews or Kane so I can actually give some coherent thoughts.

Fr tho, I love Roslovic and I think trading De Haan is probably in line with where the team is going, so I like that side of the trade a lot. I don't know much about Niku, but he seems like a bit of a project and we have a glut of young LHDs. Idk who you'd be willing to part with instead, unless Kampf could be taken out too.

I've seen niku thrown into every single Winnipeg trade so I'm assuming his value is pretty low. Can't see why Winnipeg wouldn't do this with how bad their D is

Niku is a guy who's shown a lot of promise. He was the AHL's top defenceman only a few years ago.
The problem is that our coach hasn't really given him a fair shake at the NHL level. He also was in a car accident during training camp in 2019, and otherwise he would've pushed for a regular spot in the lineup last season.
So it's those reasons that Jets fans always have him in trades. J

He's a RHD. He really is a decent prospect. He's not as washed up as he seems, but because he hasn't seemed to have a real shot to earn an NHL job, Jets fans would rather just get something for him.

Also, his hair. Ya'll would love his hair.

I do love his hair, I can't lie. Would be excited to have him for that alone haha.

As a throw-in, I don't mind him but again, we've got a lot of defensemen looking to compete for spots soon. In addition to the 6 guys with significant experience, there's also Mitchell, Beaudin, Carlsson, Kalynuk, Regula and maybe Krys who could be on the blueline within the next year or so. Niku would really have to stand-out imo, although he does have some positive experience already, I am aware.
