I'm sick of the Trouba trades, but here is one.

That's interesting. I'd rather have Connor than Lemieux but I doubt WPG is giving him up. Don't the Pens risk losing Hellebuyck to Vegas just like Murray?

Yes they do. But I'm thinking, it causes less goalie disruption on the Pens now and they get upgrade on defence immediately. Lemieux is the wild card...is he going to be an NHLer? Heck if Hellebuyck shows he is a #1 Pittsburg, maybe the Pens trade him for assets before the draft.
In the meantime, the Jets settle their # 1 goalie issue for few years, and if Maata regains his form even as 3/4 it's a bargain for them too. And the Jet don't have the Trouba RFA scenario over their heads, and thank goodness either does CapFriendly.

I dont think the question is Lemieux an NHLer but is he a top 6 (second liner) or is he just going to be a physical 3rd/4th liner.

Jets would have take someone like fehr or cole to make the cap work. Youre still over the cap and you made the jets retain more than is allowed on both helle and lemiuex.
I am interested to see what helle could over the long run behind a competent team.

CLE877!. The money can be worked out, maybe even a retention on Trouba could a possibility. The Pens have already got some relief I believe which doesn't quite show up this site, due to some injuries already to high priced guys early in the season.

Conner, Hellebuyck, Lemieux are not being traded.......Jets built one of the best young class of players in the league and they are not going to give them away for a player Murray that has played less than 20 games he may have won the cup but how is his play going to be over the long hall. Only trade I could see happening is Fleury but it won't be for any of there young goalies. And who is in this trade for Trouba no Value at all

Maybe you're right.....about the my trade and the values I put on players. Maybe the guys on the Jets will become good NHLers. But the Jets always seem to look better on paper than on the ice. What missed playoffs in the five of the last six years?, And this year not a playoff bound start. Lemieux a believe 30th pick two years ago, still has to show he NHLer, Hellbuych, if it means anything 3.40 GAA this year, and Trouba not on the ice. Maybe Murray and Maata would help the Jets get more points this year. But I do understand the belief (I'm a Leaf fan) that the young guys are going to be the saviours. I'm just not sure if it's true in Winnipeg or Arizona or Leafland.

So are you saying you'd prefer Fleury over Murray? That's an interesting take...
