Toffoli and Caufield both can play on the Left Wing which is Bergivins plan. Next offseason I don't see Montreal bringing back Tatar and Armia and Hopefully using Caufield and Ylonen in their places

MTL won’t trade Caufield just because we have depth, Caufield and Ylönen can play in the AHL if needed

The only piece that would get NJ Caufield is Hughes or Hishier I would say CC is practically untouchable

Since he is a top 5 prospect not in the NHL the trade ask would be high. Top 10 pick or a very good NHL dman

Chychrun and Hanifin all I came up with.

Its all kind of clouded in the flat cap world but I wouldnt use him to et rid of contracts, just to bring in an elite piece. Dont think i would do Hanafin or Chychrun for him though. In the end I dont think MTL can get rid of him though because of the ELC control in the flat cap era. Interesting idea though
