I don't know much about Murphy would he be a productive top pair guy? I know he plays the right side and which I feel like it's a little challenging. With acquiring Martinez it allows him to play second pair while moving Sanheim up on the right side. I don't know if Myers is ready to play top pair minutes just yet and I don't know enough about murphy to see if he fits

I’d wager a second round pick or decent prospect. Could be an option for Detroit if DDK isn’t ready at the start.

I get that but OP wants a cheap top 4 option because the team is cap strapped. You offered a comparable players for 2x the price.

If Vegas goes after pietro they have to move cap. He’d likely come at the price of a 3rd and b- prospect. He won’t cost a lot.

If they sign Petro I wouldn’t offer more than a 5th. There’s no reason to help Vegas out. It’s a pure cap dump from there eyes.

I still think they should "loan" Martinez to LA. Trade him now for the 2021 St. Louis 2nd that was part of the original trade. Then at the trade deadline, the Kings can trade him back to Vegas for the same 2021 2nd. The pro-rated salary will fit under the cap by then.

LA could use Martinez's leadership and stability for the season, but they're not going to be a playoff team. If by some miracle LA does make the playoffs and wants to hang onto him, then Vegas gets to keep the 2nd.
