Makes a lot of sense. Zadorov is on the outs in Colorado with so much defence coming up. Avs can afford Saad and would give them that kind of player that gets you through the playoffs.

Tyson Jost hasn't been an effective player for the Avs and is consistently getting benched by Bednar. Looked like fodder for Seattle so going to Chicago is a thing that also makes sense

I agree because looking at Colorado they have a lot of roster players and will have to re-sign Nichushkin too and who knows if they bring back Namestnikov. Someone has to go from the forwards

I think we will see way more trades like this in the future as managers get a handle on the cap. Why would you lose a player for no assets when they can be used as sweetener. Guerin started this with the Kunin trade which nows helps the Wild expansion problems if they protect 8 skaters with the 4 D

Seattle isn't going to be this surprise team in 2021-22. Will be nothing like Vegas. Vegas because they aren't exposing anyone might reap most of the benefits from other teams.
