I don't like trading for Laine given the cost and contract implications of Fiala, Kaprizov, now Rossi, AND Laine. I think Laine isn't the right target for us if we're moving those pieces.

Yeah if you can do Dumba retained and Greenway for Cirelli and Killorn/Johnson, thats something they should pursue

There is no certainty Cirelli is more than a 3C. Look at the lineup he's been a part of. And I want no part of Killorn(LW) or Johnson (sliding down the center charts with long term). The reason I am pushing Laine is because is a 30-50 goal scorer and last year became a more complete player. From a cap perspective we can handle it easily (we have 32m in cap space) even if you give 6-7m each to Fiala and SpecialK. We could give Laine 8m a year and still be fine. But the point is, we could have FOUR 20-30+ goal scores with Fiala, Parise, Laine and hopefully SpecialK. And that isn't even counting Rossi. I just think when you can land a 22 yr old who can score 30-50 goals a year you run after him.

whoever says the Jets need LHD isnt very knowledgeable about the Jets. Samberg and Heinola will be on their blueline for the longterm. Their right hand side is kind of weak

Frankly, if we believe Addison or Menell are top 4 D, we should be trading Dumba for 1st+top 6 C prospect. Keep supplementing our youth movement. Rossi is a good start, but he's still not a sure thing. Neither are Kaprizov, Boldy, etc. We need to keep stockpiling ammo.

Dumba isn't worth moving Laine for. The Jets may have an interest in Dumba, but not for one of the top 5.

Laine will 10% be traded before the end of next season, possibly sooner. He wants to play on the first line and for whatever reason PM won't put him there. In addition, they are afraid they won't be able to afford him on his next contract so they are looking to move him. They are fools to move him, but they will, and I want the Wild to jump on that.

Sure that's all your speculation based on nothing tangible. However, Minnesota just doesn't have the pieces Winnipeg would require to move Laine.

All they have signed on the left side for this upcoming season is Morrissey, on the right side they have Demelo, Pionk, Niku and Poolman.

They need to sign a LD and hope one of Samberg and and Heinola can step in.

If Laine is moved it will be out east and rightfully so

Ville Heinola is legit and Dylan Samberg could play as soon as next year.
