That's pretty obvious, the contract is the issue. Lindholm is better and a better option but I'm not sure ANA want to move him. Hall can probably get more money and Ryan should be on 3rd line or pass, he isn't a 4th liner.

Good teams have third liners on the fourth line. That way when a third liner gets hurt. It isn’t a disaster.

The purpose of the hall contract from his side is stated in the description.

I don't see Lindholm being available, ever, though. I think Orlov is likely available this coming offseason, if the Caps are serious about signing both Ovechkin and Vrana. Just someone to watch. Doubt he'd set you back quite as much as the above. And given your other posts about Schmidt, I think Orlov and Schmidt were regarded as almost interchangeable, by a lot of Caps fans, when the Caps decided which one to expose to expansion, with Orlov just being a bit more proven.
