Not sure we plan to give that pick back, especially with the addition of Judd Brackett who can use that pick well.

The Wild actually don't need 25 year old bottom 6 centers. We're chock full.

We need like, legitimate top 6 players. Conor Sheary isn't close. Frankly I don't see anything Pittsburgh would be willing to move that would entice me to move that 1st.

Isn't Pettersson a defenseman? We definitely don't need those.

I like Zucker to WSH. Sounds good. And I think Hagelin definitely has the speed to keep up with a skill line, and could be scoring more points on a team that doesn't have Ovechkin and Vrana ahead of him on the left side.

I think you're overpaying for Tanev having a right-handed shot, in a weak UFA RHD crop. If you look at his points, minutes, zone starts, corsi, plus/minus, hits, and blocks, this year, Tanev is not quite as good as Michal Kempny. The Caps are rumored to be shopping Kempny so they can sign Brenden Dillon.

So why not Hagelin and Kempny for Zucker? Then Pittsburgh is as good as the above team, but with $2M more cap space, and WSH has roster spots for Dillon and Siegenthaler at LD. Can Kempny play his off-side? Probably, but I bet Dumoulin would do better on his off-side, staying ready for one-timers from the top of the right circle.

like your thinking and long to read but i was having a discussion with another person about getting a first from the wild so I guess if would make sense.

if you threw in a 3rd to kempny and hagelin i'd accept.

Problem is the Capitals won't trade Hagelin back to Pittsburgh. I would absolutely love to see Haggy back in pittsburgh but the Caps won't trade him back

I like it. Caps have Arizona's 3rd this year or their own next year, depending whether Pit is more interested in drafting a player or having something to trade at the deadline to fill that 2M cap space.

I think under a flat cap, with *Hagelin* making 2.75M on the third line and PK1, a 2nd absolutely gets him back, without any other players moving.

*typo said Zucker.

id rather have the 3rd round pick at the draft just because you dont know how good or bad Washington could be next year.

Also, for what it's worth, it doesn't sound like Guerin is interested in Murray. Russo is pretty certain he's not discussing him, and that Fleury is his preferred goaltender.

That's scary good. But WSH and PIT wouldn't even discuss a trade since they hate each other. Im all for Hagelin to Pittsburgh but idk
