Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

- Re-sign Burakovsky, and Nuke & Graves get bridge deals to show last year wasn't a fluke performance
- Grabner just got bought out and would be a huge PK addition and should make for a feisty 4th line with PEB and Calvert
- Haula gets a prove-it deal to rebuild some value after being injured last year and pushes Compher to the wing
- Hutton gets a deal for a cup run after a few years with a lousy Kings team
- Bolts need salary relief and COL takes Killorn to add some tough scoring to the 2nd line
- salary dumps for Cole and Joonas
- 3-way trade with BOS and CBJ:
BOS gets rights to Z and Jost
CBJ gets rights to DeBrusk and futures
COL gets Savard

Goal is to use the abundant cap space to add some grit, bolster the D, improve special teams, and maintain cap and roster flexibility for extensions the next few years (Makar, Landy, Nate) and young kids on the cusp of breaking in (Byram, Kaut, Bowers, Newhook)

Left plenty of cushion on the cap in case some of these contracts need to be higher, and lots of draft picks and prospects on the table to include in the trades if they aren't enough

I'm not sure Detroit gives up a 5th in this situation because he's a UFA at the end of the season. Detroit isn't a prime destination for UFAs.

Yeah, was trying to find something that benefited all teams. Maybe need to bolster the package for the Bruins. Not sure.

Team's interchangeable, mostly just the idea of dumping Cole to a team that has the cap space and will take him. Maybe it's just "future considerations" and a late pick is going with him but the idea is to upgrade that roster spot with someone more reliable. Detroit is young and I figure could use some leadership, which Cole is actually pretty good with, but mostly just a framework deal.

Yzerman already said at his presser that he wont give up picks for short term assets, The only pieces that Colorado has the might entice us are Jost or Zadorov.

Fair. Would another mid-6 forward like Donskoi or Compher be more appealing? Or futures instead of an NHL player? Z is the main piece but just trying to add value to the package to see what the Bruins would want to make a trade work for DeBrusk (whom I have going to Columbus as part of the 3-way trade). Obviously I'm an Avs fan so don't know the ins and outs of what exactly Boston is looking for beyond hearing some internet chatter and rumors.

Never seen a 3-team trade before? Maybe you haven't been following hockey very long but they do happen. If they had a feature on the Armchair GM to show it as a 3-team trade I'd use it to display cleaner but they only have that on the trade simulator. Shrug
