Totally Realistic Dallas Stars Offseason

Description
PLEASE READ THIS:

Not meant to be taken seriously. Will redo in a more serious manner when I am not in a rage over our cup loss trying to create a dream team (might reuse some elements but this is just my perfect world; if this happens my jaw will hit the floor). Special Teams had zero thought put into them so please don't hate me too much if they are bad. I have no knowledge of AHL so I just left it alone.

Maybe TML should just sign him 3 x 12M in FA instead giving Nylander on the top ......*facepalm*

Wouldn't it make more sense for the Leafs to trade Nylander for a high pick and then sign Petro from FA? I don't get Dallas plays middle man here lmao

I didn't know what pick compensation to add in that trade, but Dallas would definitely have to give up some draft compensation. Was originally thinking Klingberg instead of Pietrangelo but I didn't want to mess with the defensive chemistry too much since it seems to actually be decent right now. In the end though I know there isn't a snowball's chance in hell that the offseason plays out anywhere close to this for Dallas. This is just my fantasy land dream team lol

I was originally thinking cap problems. Plus I know there isn't a chance in hell for any of this to happen the way I have it listed right now (hence the sarcastic name). I plan on releasing a legitimate one tomorrow when I am not moping over the Cup defeat and trying to create a dream team

Alright then.

It's weird really. I'm a hardcore Stars fan, yet I can't really be mad about the loss. Probably because it wasn't even that close. We lost outright to a better team. Think it's easier to accept.

Well to be fair I was pessimistic towards this team at the beginning of the round-robin, so getting to the finals was already much more than I expected from this team.

Yeah I felt the same way this year. Round Robin had me very scared that we'd get bounced round one by Calgary or Vancouver and we'd be headed towards a blowup. Luckily we've probably made it far enough to where the player core won't have to be anymore, but I would still like to see us go after Gerard Gallant as HC. He'd probably be able to get a lot better offensive production out of this team and I think if we can bump up the offense a lot while sacrificing some defense we could be legitimate cup contenders and not just lucky b@stards who didn't belong

Think Bowness is a great coach, but I'd prefer him as the assistant one. He's put our defense in a good order - to the point where the offense of this team was way too dependent on our D-men's ability to drive play.

I wouldn't oppose hiring Gallant, but I have to wonder if there's something wrong with the guy himself...I mean he's been fired twice, and it has definitely not been a question of team performance when it has happened.

Partly the reason we got through this far was because our teamwork was probably the league best. They didn't falter in the slightest in that regard...a coach with bad record amongst the players could ruin that.

I get that this isn’t realistic and all but what is it. Dallas trades nothing for nylander. Like it’s not even a trade, pieteangelo doesn’t even play for ur team ????
