I agree with what you said. I don't really think we should go after Krug since he's not great defensively, and by the time we're good again he'll have regressed to the point where he's on a bad contract. However, the exact term and salary you gave him here is the maximum I'd be willing to do.

As a Bruins fan I would hope Krug can fetch more than a fourth but I guess a 4th is better than nothing. Also I don't think Krug is going to help Detroit alot. He can pass well, his shooting is alright, I mean the dude hasn't scored from the point in a while from what I remember. He's a good skater but struggles in front of the net due to his size so he needs to be paired with a bigger d-man, Marc Staal maybe?

As much as i would love to bring Krug home, He needs to go elsewhere if we were close to competing then yes but we're not. He's going to be just to far expensive and will start regressing in another 4 years or so.

I like krug but yeah hes more of a specialist than an anchor back there. He'll Help the power play alot and yeah he's the best ld we'd own. Hes has bad defensive instincts and boston has basically stapled Carlo to him for ywars to baby sit him. If we add krug I feel like we have to remind him a partner too. We dont have a ld that fits with him.

Thank You! krug is an average player who got a lot of assists from dishing it to guys like Pasta & Bergeron. Wings ACGMs want to overpay him for what he did in Bos with that team. I think 7M a year is too much and if he wants that or more let him go somewhere else. Adding a pick on top is even more ridiculous in my opinion. I appreciate your thought on pairing him with a guy like Marc Stall but the reason wings got Stall (and why some wings ACGMs want krug/LHD UFAs) is because the wings need left handed D to play the left side so 2 LHD playing with each other doesn't work for the wings.

I'm sure they would want more I want $50,000 over market value when I sell my home too. All joking aside, I don't see any team paying more than that.
