If Krug would take that he’d have signed in Boston already.

Send us the 73rd pick for his rights and he’ll tell you that himself.

Reportedly Krug wants 7 x $7,000,000+ Laine for Ekblad is a bad deal for the Panthers Laine will cost $10+ million next season last thing Florida should be doing is spending big money right now.

No kidding. Nobody would want to go to Panthers otherwise. Still don’t see him taking that.

You’ve answered it yourself. 6.5 million is basically 7 million if not more with state income tax

No.. he’s not lol

7-7.5 on Boston and a million or so less if he goes to a team like FLA/VGK. Think you’re mixing up him and Pietrangelo

Big difference is Boston is cheap and won’t pay him more than Pastrnak or Marchand, who they both got on steals of a contract. Can’t get all your star players under $7 million. Good luck with that

Nothing about this statement is correct.

Yes Vegas wants Petro. They have also said they are interested in Krug.

8X8 was Krugs camp asking price. Boston offered 6X6.5-7. He declined.

Boston is not cheap. It’s not old man Jacobs and Sinden running the team anymore. Spending cap space wisely is a good thing. I would not give Krug that either.

Lol the asking prices are just rumors so you acting like you know is hilarious. It’s rumored Krug wants 7-7.5, Pietrangelo wants 8-8.5. Boston likely didn’t want to go that high and didn’t want the 8 year deal either

Krug will likely take 6.5-7 million on a 7 year deal in Florida or Vegas if he goes there . Pietrangelo will likely
take 7.5-8 on a 7 year deal if he goes there. I guess we’ll have to wait and see but the information you’re going by is your own personal opinion and not is what reported. You’re also not taking into account teams that can pay players less due to state income tax laws, which you don’t seem to understand. Fact: he will get less then what he’s asking for in Boston, not the same, if he goes to Florida or Vegas.

Also yes, Boston is cheap. They have deep pockets and are willing to spend but not individually. Not on individual players. If McDavid was available at his current asking price they would say no. They believe that if you want to play there badly enough you’ll accept less, hence why they’re trading his rights. They should absolutely give Krug what he’s asking for (hint: it’s not 8x8) if they want to keep the window open. If not, that window is closing shut this season or next.

Quote the article

Back in March, another Black N Gold Hockey writer gave his take on a Krug report that Krug is seeking about $8M per year. This price point for Krug is about the general consensus starting point amongst NHL execs and players throughout the league.

Oops. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s funny how you think signing players to team friendly contracts is a bad thing. Lol.

I’m aware of tax implications. Are you aware he does not want to be there? Doubt he gives them a discount. Detroit or Minny on the other hand....

Keep trying though 🙄

That is definitely not a legitimate source LOL. It’s a blog. You serious bro?

He clearly values his contract more than he wants to be with the Bruins.. he’s been gone since they got eliminated. Changed his profile and everything. He deserves the money and I can’t fault him for that.

Team friendly deals are great but letting a star player walk since you won’t pay him fair value is ridiculously dumb. But you do you. I’m sure Pastrnak will leave after his contract is up and he demands $9 million. But.. maybe he didn’t want to be there or else he’d take the discount. Dinosaur thinking from a dinosaur organization that let Seguin go for peanuts since he “didn’t want to play like a Bruin”. It’s insulting

He wants to go home more than he wants the contract.

There is no way he was getting 8 years from Boston. And i applaud them for not doing it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

90% of bad contracts in the league are because they were given to long of deal that extended past their prime. It’s poor management.

Whatever you have to tell yourself lol. He wants the money, doubt he cares about going to Detroit or Florida. Doesn’t matter which one, he just wants what he’s worth.

Pay him what he’s worth and he stays with the Bruins. But again, we’ve already covered that. “Culture”

He wants Detroit, he’s from there and his and his wife's family are there.

They offered him what he was worth. He is not worth 8X8. It’s a bad contract.

It’s the Dombrowski/Chiarelli method of GM. ‘’I’m going to get fired anyway so try to win now, the mess i make for later is somebody else’s problem.”

Krug's a great player at what he does. But he’s pushing 30. When his offense starts to fall off half way through his next deal whoever it is will be regretting it.
