I wouldn't do 7 years but $7M, that's certain. If the Bruins already offered this deal and he declined, don't see him accepting somewhere else. He said he wants to get paid so money is probably his priority. It would likely have to be +$7.5M if it's not Boston or Detroit.

And another thing, he isn't a top pair LD and need to play with a defensive RD to cover him at 5v5. Mitchell has potential but they will get smoked if they play together+top pair minutes.

Krug does get 7 years I'd think, and he's great. He's 29 now, so my Excel spreadsheet tells me he'd be 36 when a 7yr contract is up. History says in 4 years, wherever he signs, that team's fan base will be on here posting trade offers of a first round draft pick plus a prospect to offload the contract, and receiving LOL's and keep dreaming in the comment section.
