Why would you pay Burakovsky 6 million?

Better question is why would the Habs give up that much for Compher

on a g 6 year deal, its not that far off from what he would ask for. You would want to get him 5.5 or lower. But you are banking big time you are right about him just like how the Avs were right when they traded for him

Production probably could get a similar contract but best is to get him around 4 years at 4.5m-5m

I think he's pretty ok, nothing I would invest 6 million into. Good thing he's always been an excellent playoff performer

I wouldn’t invest it either but just don’t think it’s a totally unrealistic contract, would be a bit of a shocker considering but if they believed in him and thought this was the only beginning with him, huge risk huge reward if he takes another level on the avs

Newhook is not ready to be inserted into the 3C role for a SC contender. I would like to see Compher on the wing with an experienced 3C, though.
