1.
DET
  1. Trocheck, Vincent
Détails additionnels:
Young-ish Center that helps with DET C depth. Helps CAR with cap. Trying to not treat Torcheck as a total cap dump. So CAR does get some players back.
CAR
  1. Fulcher, Kaden
  2. Glendening, Luke
  3. Svechnikov, Evgeny
Détails additionnels:
Svech gets to play with his brother, hopefully shows he can overcome injury and make CAR. Trying to not include picks in the deal, so Glendening goes and plays 4th line C, good PK, cheaper cap. Fulcher can be any depth prospect.
2.
DET
  1. Demko, Thatcher
  2. Eriksson, Loui
Détails additionnels:
TOR got a 1st round pick for 6M of Marleau. That was before a epidemic and revenue starved teams. I feel 2 years at 6M (Loui) will be a hefty price. I know Demko blew everyone's socks off this playoffs, but there are examples in the past of stellar playoff performances from young Gs, that doesn't mean they carryover to total career performance.
VAN
Package won't be much going back. Like I said, 2 years at 6M, I think Demko would be enough (DET might want more).
    3.
    DET
    1. Turris, Kyle (2 000 000 $ retained)

NASH retains some cap to lessen the pick needed to off Turris from their roster.

    Détails additionnels:
DET get C depth at a cap hit that doesn't hurt them for the 4 years remaining.

Why should we give up a 1st pick just for another team to buy him out??

They probably wouldn't but the idea would be to get out of his contract. Same with the Van trade, I don't think they would trade Demko to just get rid of Erikson's contract. They like Demko to much, developing goalies is hard. If with Markstrom, if they really wanted to they would trade Demko for an upgrade and get more for him then just cap relief.

I like cernak but a rd isn't the big priority. Can't see carolina moving trochek, necas seems like a winger and I can't see staal in that 2nd slot. I'll take demko and pass on turris, 4 years at 6 million is just a huge risk

Trading Henrik for another team to buy him out isn't overly farfetched. However, since there is no way the Rangers give up a 1st in order to make it happen, I could see them retain half the salary in the trade. Still would save them more than a Year 1 of a Buyout (with no year 2 to worry about), and they don't have to give up such hefty compensation.

I'm guessing because Detroit has cap space. NYR has 15 players on their roster right now and $14.4M in space. Strome and Deangelo need to be signed brings you roster to 17. Hank's buyout will cost $5.5M this season so If NYR buys him out it only gives them they only frees up $3M cap space. Now Lafreniere and his ELC helps so can NYR resign Strome and Deangelo and 5 other players with $16.4M? But I don't know because this isn't my post.

I think Nashville is the only team to accept but I'm not sure it very good for Detroit. Turris has 4yrs left on his contract at $6M per season and the cap won't increase more than a $1M until the NHL's HRR tops $4.8B in consecutive seasons.

The Turris trade has 2M retained, so we'd have Turris at 4M. Felt that was easier to swallow and get his salary more to what his production would be expected at.

The Henrik deal is one I've only seen a few times on here and I thought it was a creative type of trade. Maybe a 1st is too much, but I always go back to TOR giving up a 1st to get rid of Marleau at 6M.... so that was my gage. 6M cap hit means 1st rounder.

This is under the assumption that NYR didn't have the cap to buy him out.

Torchek was just an idea on improving C depth.... I could see your point if CAR doesn't need to get rid of him.
I'm a little light on the return for him too if I'm being honest.

Yeah i mean there would probably be circumstances that the canes would move him but it would be the upgrade somewhere not just clear cap

Sorry I missed that when I read it. $4M is a lot better than $6M but it's just cap hit. He has 4 years left on his contract and he ties up a roster spot for the next 4yrs with a player in his 30's.
