Theres no way the Leafs would do that/ Yes they have a bunch of cap space, but they will have to pay Garland, Hyman, Andersen, Lehtonen and Barabanov in 1 year, all of whom will most likely get a significant raise

All this does is give away futures and kick the cap problems further down the road. Solid effort, value might be close - I'm big on both players, especially Garland, but the cap problem just snowballs this way.

This is fair, but has Toronto shyed away from this type of stuff in the past? They clearly work 1 year at a time. I don't think Lehtonen AND Barabanov are mutli year pieces, and Hyman might be let go. Garlands rise likely in the 3.5M range
