Not sold on Gaudreau going anywhere. Think he not only returns to Calgary, but has a good year.

That said, I think NJD would probably accept that. A team with cap, picks are tradable parts can replace the pieces they're sending more easily.

nope. just have the simple ability to understand a teams current situation, something you're clearly lacking. not hard to realize that a team with an already tiny top 6 shouldn't be giving up value future assets for a soft 5'9" playmaking winger, who they'll only have for 2 years, when they're looking for goal scoring and size.

Exactly. Nolan Foote is pretty much what we're looking to add to the system and he's already in it. He's also one of only two players in the system eligible to slide.

No. Common sense. We aren’t winning next year or the year after. We are rebuilding. Why would we give up our best defenseman, one of our best prospects and 16th? Overall for a player that currently isn’t needed.
When we are ready to compete, Gaudreau would be a UFA and available for zero dollars.
