It solves there 2C problem without giving up Ehlers or Laine, and we can probably get Schneider at 16. I don’t mind it

Don't see why the swap of 1st round picks are involved..? Jets get shafted because of it they are alrdy giving up 2 former 1st rounders for Domi what is the purpose of them moving down 6 spots in 2020?

Cause those 3 former 1st rounders are not that basically busts right now so the value has to be made up some where

Roslovic is a decent middle 6, Vesalainen is 21 if youre calling him a bust then so is Ryan Poehling... and Sami Niku has promise seems to be a servicable NHL'er no different than what Victor Mete can offer.

Plus, moving down 6 spots from 10 to 16 in a draft like this one is not smtg the Jets would do IMO.

Actually you kind of proved my point for me. Roslovic doesn't play 2nd line winger he plays 3rd line unless one of the top 6 get hurt. That makes him a top 9 winger like Lehkonen or Byron. I didn't say anyone was a bust I said they were basically a bust. Meaning that unless they step up this year they won't be anything more than Hudon. An AHLer who can fill a hole in a pinch and yes I would put Poehling in that category. However unlike Niku, Mete has proved to be an NHL quality player perhaps he hasn't reached the top 4 status everyone hoped for but he is already a serviceable 2nd pairing guy who can play either side of the ice. Niku has yet to play a game in the league so your comparison is slightly off there. Niku is more like Leskinen both have tallent but have yet to break through and show it professionally. So my question becomes, would you trade Ehlers for Poehling + Leskinen + Lehkonen/Byron? Of course you wouldn't same goes for Domi.

I would think the Jets would have zero interest in Domi with his contract situation and new agent. Plus Domi definitely isn't worth moving 10OA for.

I would do that yes, if Ehlers didn't have a cap friendly contract and was an unhappy RFA like Domi is at this moment... also your comparisons are a little off; Niku is at least a drafted player with more offensive ability than Leskinen, Roslovic is bigger and better than both Byron/Lehkonen, and Vesalainen although hasn't really done much to date probably has a higher ceiling than Poehling, who will be at BEST a 3rd line centre in the nhl.

When exactly did Domi say he was unhappy in Montreal? This whole Domi is unhappy crap reminds me of that old school game telephone. You know the game someone whispers something to the person next to them and by the time it gets back around it isn't even close to what was said. Domi said he wants to play Center and Claude Julien said Domi was better at center. However over the course of the year and in the playoffs Domi played the wing and didn't complain. He just went out and played as usual. No where in his press conference where he said he loves playing Center did he say he was unhappy in Montreal that was just the media twisting a players words to help sell papers through controversy. Domi fired an agent and hired a new one. This happens all of the time in all sports but because it is Montreal the media says Domi wants a trade. Domi's new agent said that he and MB have had talks but that Fomi has never requested a trade. That is akin to saying Domi loves the city and wants to stay but ultimately MB is the GM and the guy that makes those calls so we will all have to wait and see what comes of the negotiations. Perhaps Domi fired his old agent because he wanted a deal done over the course of the season and he wasn't able to get the job done. The real reason behind the firing will never be known to anyone but Domi and his old agent.

You have never seen Leskinen play have you? Leskinen is a very good 2 way defenseman. He has good speed and and projects as a good 2nd pair or very good bottom pair option. Niku has more offensive abilities for sure but lacks size and is not very good defensively according to other threads I have read on here. The fact that Leskinen was undrafted literally means nothing some of the best players in the history of the game were undrafted. Belfour, Gretzky (joins NHL when Oilers joined he was already under personal services contract), Oats, Giordano, Peter Statsny, St Louis, Panarin, Bobrovski and Backstrom to name a few.

Roslovic is 6'1" 187lbs compared to Lehkonen who is 6'0" 176! 1 inch and 11 lbs is a huge difference! Lehkonen has more skill than he gets credit for because he has yet to breakout in the NHL if he ever does though he will be a force.

Poehling has the potential to be a 2 way center much like Danault but with more skill. However like Vesalainen he has struggled to even make the NHL.

So my comparisons are pretty close.

There has been a rift between he and Claude julien since the start of this season, do you live under a rock? When a player with Domi's pedigree and potential is relegated to 4th line Center because claude "likes him better than at wing" then there is smtg wrong with that picture.

And yes, i've seen otto play as i've probably been to more Rocket games than most. Urghhh ok so if Niku is 6'1 176lbs and is lacking size, what is that saying about Leskinen at 5'11 183lbs? Or right i guess 2' and 7lbs means nothing to you still too.

Roslovic is 23 almost a year and a half younger than Lehkonen, so he will fill out even more so then the 187lbs that he is currently playing at. Artturi, although serviceable, seems to have peaked already and is not overly skilled nor is he a great finisher. He is almost solely relied upon for his defensively responsible game.

Nobody thinks Poehling will be more skilled than Danault that is just crazy talk. Pierre mcGuire wld be ashamed of you for saying such a mad statement haha

Domi played 2RW until KK was injured then played 3C for the rest of the season and only played 4C for the play in series vs the Pens before he was promoted back to 2RW. I guess that definitely means there is a rift when a top 6 forward plays top 6 minutes until a center goes down and he is moved to fill a hole. Yup that sounds like a rift for sure!.

I didn't say Leskinen was bigger than Niku you said Niku was better cause he had more skill. I countered with Leskinen was better defensively which IMO is more important for a D man!

Lehkonen will also get bigger, what do you think that hockey players just stop bulking up once they hit 25?! Thats a rediculous argument! Now your grasping at straws. Lehkonen has one of the best shots on the Habs and finishing plays for his seems to be more about confidence than skill.

Poehling does have more skill than Danault. His game just hasn't translated to the NHL very well yet. His game does have some massive holes right now and he may never put it together the way everyone hopes but it is still too early to tell what he will be. BTW I could care less of what other people think of me! Only persons opinion of me that matters is my families and mine! People just try to make other people feel bad about themselves to make themselves feel more superior. Life is too short for that BS

Domi had never played RW in his life up until this postseason...

No thats right, you said Niku "lacked size" however i just proved to you that you clearly DO care about 1" and 11lbs wink and ok so you're saying with that logic that Andy Greene is a better defensemen than Erik Karlsson? lmao

I can guarantee you lehkonen will NOT get bigger no. What do YOU think, athletes just keep gaining weight? Crosby would weigh over 250lbs thinking that way. He was drafted at around 185-190, you don't just keep gaining weight after 25 years old as a professional athlete man cmon use your head.

Good on ya man don't take no crap from nobody. Glad you think like that because you have some seriously hot takes that don't seem to make any sense but hey if you believe it to be true than who is to tell you otherwise

Like is highlighted above I said according to what I have read on other threads. I know very little about Niku or his game but some jets fans are not very big on him and that is what I was basing my statement on.

As for gaining weight players weight actually fluctuate more than you would think sometimes as much as 5lbs from year to year even after the age of 25. You think that a player just hits a magic number for weight and they don't gain or lose weight? That's kind of funny, athletes are human beings and change their diets or lifestyles as frequently as anyone else. In fact sometimes more especially after they hit their prime they are constantly looking for the next big thing in nutrition and muscle building exercises to get a bigger advantage on the competition.

Perhaps I am a little old school in thinking a defenseman's first priority should be DEFENSE I mean it's only their position! I would take a guy like Weber who plays actual defense over a guy like Mete who take too many high risk chances and leaves their partner out to dry more often than not because they pinched or turned the puck over in the neutral zone and caused a 2 on 1 the other way. So yes as a defenseman Green is better and more reliable than Karlsson IMO.
