Columbus can’t afford that trade unless Strome is willing to sign around 2.5 mil. Also Jarmo already said that he isn’t going to be trading any high picks anytime soon.

Trade's a wash. doesn't have to happen just heard from a Pens fan on here they wanted someone that throws the body and him at 50% retained is a reach for a cap dump.

How would adjust the trade?

Remove Kreider, Anderssen (Lias), Nuttivaara and the 1st.

Kreider- isn’t getting moved after signing that extension
Anderssen- doesn’t fit Columbus’s style and would end up in either the AHL or Europe again
2020 1st- Columbus needs all the picks they can get
Nuttivaara or Anderson- removing one of them evens the trade out.

Also I’m not sure Strome is really the answer for Columbus, his 2 best seasons were with Panarin and with Tavares, Columbus doesn’t have a player of that still level to carry him.

Yeah, someone good would be better. Sully isn’t a big fan of that. The last time the pens traded for just any player like that, he played maybe 5 minutes per game.

Probably. Probably not. We all thought he was a wash. People love to say Panarin gives him his points but Panarin has a career high in points playing with Strome.

Ummm... not sure that really makes any sense. Panarin just proved he was worth the 11 mil, yes he had a career high in points, but Strome also can’t carry his own line. He kinda proved that in EDM and NYI.... Panarin carried Strome... if you want to keep him great, he just doesn’t really fix anything for Columbus. We don’t have a player to carry Strome like Panarin does.

No I'm trying to say people hate on Strome but don't want to admit they complement each other and both played better together as both blew career totals together. Columbus probably wouldn't take Strome for free. He doesn't seem like a Jarmo/Torts guy.
