If Danault is signing for 5.5 and he'll still be on the COL 3rd line, I think Montreal would get him and do the same thing there...

For what its worth, MTL fans would probably ask for Beaucage + Graves + mid-late rd pick for Danault.
They get horny for french canadian players like Beaucage who played in the QMJHL

In my previous AGM I proposed Graves + Compher for Danault and 1st + Jost for Kuemper, and a Montreal fan suggested swapping those around so that it was 1st+Jost for Danault instead, hence this trade proposal.

Good point, perhaps that would be better. I figure that Arizona would want to run with Raanta/Hill in net though, but I suppose it's equivalent to send them Francouz instead of Beaucage.

nah, if im MTL, Id take Graves + Compher > Jost + 1st personally.

Sometimes we see a trade offer which is more favorable for us and we jump on it and run with it - but in hindsight we run with it because its more favorable for us - not more logical.

I saw an offer posted today by a TBL fan trading Killorn to COL for a 2020 2nd (which would be in the 55+ range). Now thats crazy good value, but I wouldnt use it as a basis for AGMs moving forward

I agree. That's why it was my first proposal. As mentioned in that earlier thread I also think Arizona would have more interest in a 1st and young roster player over Graves/Compher, whereas the opposite is true for Montreal given that they want to start to be competitive and already have a tonne of picks in 2020/2021 drafts.

meh, Compher/ Graves are 25, Jost 22.

for the record i think it's fair. they tend to overrate their players.

Well that's what i'm implying. I agree that Compher and Graves would be of more interest to Montreal than Jost would.
