IMO Rask returns and even if he wouldn't, don't sign Holtby.
Same for Chara so don't need Brodie and Kovalchuk didn't want to come here before; we don't need him now. Just move up Bjork.

Add a year for Kuhlman; doubt DeBrusk takes this ($) but it's also a good deal and Grzelcyk will definitely decline (unless he takes a big discount).

-if Rask doesn't come back, what would you do? Because Halak can't be a starter, simple as that
-I signed BH to mentor Vladar in the near future
-I don't believe Chara's coming back
-Grz would as for 4 mil per if he gets 5 years?

Yeah, at least. $4-5M.

How do you feel about the elimination?

As much as I like Grz, that seems like a bit of an overpay.

Sucks, for sure. But it what it is. TBL was better and hope our current core has at least one more chance.

I guess it depends on the usage; if they plan on playing him on top pair with McAvoy and play like a top4 D, he can get that easily. That's long-term, by the way.
Bruins can also use that during negotiations against him (playing 3rd pair).
Not even guaranteed he is with the Bruins at the end of next year so I would do 2Y now.

I'm usually confident about my contracts predictions but not sure about Grzelcyk, here. Interesting case.

Those negotiations will certainly be interesting. He and McAvoy look really good together, but is he ready/capable of being on a 1st pairing? I think Grz helps unlock a bit more off McAvoy's offensive side and lets him play more freely vs being defensive conscious playing with Chara. If Krug walks he can slide up to Carlo's pair which should help him as well seeing as Grz is better defensively than Krug is.

If chara isn’t back could a deal involving nurse for debrusk and Ritchie be plausible? I’d assume nurse holds more value than debrusk based on position and minutes capable of but instead of asking for picks or prospects I’d be completely ok with Ritchie as a throw in.

Agree - McAvoy got 4.9m and Carlo got 2.85m on bridges, why does Sweeney shell out 5m for Gryz. Anything over 4m for him is an overpayment.
