Sigh...JG is not better than MM and your idea of a first and Mitch for JG is absolutely ludicrous.

Besides this trade would never happen because it doesn't address any of our needs. Is the contract bad? Yep but doing this wouldn't help at all.

The issue isn't about who's better (it's marner) but who's going to be better. Marner is improving and gaudreau is probably done getting better and seems to be tailing off honestly. I would do this trade with nylander instead if you changed the picks.
