Trades where fans of other teams accepted it!

Description
All these trades were accepted by a notable fan of the team I traded with so no bias from my part. Of course this won't make everyone happy, there will be posters who say its garbage or whatever but pretending if I was GM of the Habs and these other guys were the GM's of their respective teams, this would of been the outcome.

This was a while ago and frankly it was just for fun and I didn't think I would even do it to be honest but in light of our stupid coach's comments, I'm just going to get full value for him while we can. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Coga16 so I'm going to say it was peterman maybe? Like I said it was a while ago but remember an Avs fan saying they'd do it.

I just wouldnt want to trade Landy and what he brings in a physical edge/2 way game... even though I like Pacioretty. Not really an upgrade in my mind, just a lateral move and I don't think the Avs should be moving him for a lateral move

Changed my mind on giving up Lehkonen after what Koivu and his former coach said about him. I want to see what he can do and he has a cheap contract for awhile also because there is Las Vegas team looking at our roster next year.

Two teams with a need to change their leadership a little don't you think? Chances are Landy would give the Habs a little more sand paper and Pacioretty would give the Avs more firepower. Come on man I even threw in Andrighetto who is no slouch. Kid could be a 20g scorer next year. (Not in MTL, in an offensive minded team where the coach won't waste his potential) Frankly I'm only putting this trade in because of the latest controversy here in MTL. I'd be perfectly fine keeping Patches because he's a 30G+ guy being paid 4.5M/year, that is smart money. Considering we're a goal challenged team as is, I think we might need to keep his 30+ goals every year if we want to win.

He's going to be good I think too but you have to give to get though. Just to give some perspective, the last Habs player to score more pts than Panarin in a season was Kovalev. Once. Before that? Damphousse and Recchi back in 1996. The odds are Lehkonen may never be more than a 40-50 pt guy with Montreal if we're lucky. Panarin looks like a lock for 60+ every year.

Who are you afraid to lose in expansion? I feel like I left it pretty unanimous to be Beaulieu if I decide to trade him before the expansion draft. The guys being protected as of right now would be Price - Panarin, Galchenyuk, Landeskog, Plekanec, Gallagher, Girgensons, Shaw - Johnson, Weber, Petry.

Left for expansion: Condon/Montoya (One would have to be signed to an extension), Beaulieu, Barberio, Byron, Mitchell and Danault. Markov, Franson, Radulov, Flynn are all UFA's so LV wouldn't waste a spot selecting them. I'm not too worried unless I'm missing something like a rule?

Thanks for the insight it helps I was thinking wrong that we could only protect 8 skaters and 1 goalie or which ever the other one was but all in all I thought 9 players will be protected. LV won't be able to just pick a RFA player that needs to be signed like Bealieu ?. I hope he can play in the top 4 and do well heck play on the first pair and do well because we will need him to be paired with slower D-men. If not then what a bust hope LV takes him. Lol

Whatever I hope Beaulieu takes a step in the right direction but I'm thinking if he hasn't yet then he might never. That entire 2011 draft was garbage for the habs.

Would do the Chicago and Columbus trades. The Buffalo trade is 50/50. The Avs trade isn´t necessary. And why would you protect Girgensons?

"Panarin looks like a lock for 60+ every year." - When he is on the ice with Kane this might be true, but he won't get that time and space playing on a line for Montreal.

Being sane, has no relevance when discussing player value and trades. Sure, jacketsman61 may even be clinically insane, but he is solid citizen on this site.

I dont disagree, its a solid trade package but in my mind Avs dont need more firepower. They cant move arguably their best defensive forward who plays a pure power forward game, if they do, I think that hurts them even though they do get the more gifted offensive player. I like patches but not enough to move Landy for thats all. I have a huge hockey crush on the guy, some Av fans cant stand him and think hes a bad captain bc he takes undisciplined penalties at times. But thats what you get with a guy who plays as physical as he does, he will cross the line time to time so you take the good with the bad. Plus I am excited to see what he will do away from Roy, his shot generation had declined each season under Roy bc of the defensive start treatment he was getting with Soderberg. I see him being back on the Top line with MacKinnon and Rantanen which could be so hard to stop

Neither are real current GM's in the NHL. Its not about that. Its about coming to a hypothetical agreement on a trade. The trade may not be the best possible offer you could get but then again in this scenario I asked and he agreed. At least this is a "real" AGM where I'm not just trading my garbage for your best players type thing. Two sides a=came to an agreement.

No with Kane he is 70+ pt guy more then likely if he was able to produce the way he has. 60 pts along side a Galchenyuk and Gallagher isn't anything out of reason. Jesus, David Desharnais scored 60 pts playing next to Pacioretty and Cole. I think Panarin is a lock for 60 in most seasons barring injury.

The Buffalo trade is all about getting DD off the team and replacing him with bigger guys. Kind of trade you do If your making a cup run. The Avs trade isn't necessary. As mentioned its only because of the stupid Therrien comments going around. If he's going to be run out of town by this ignorant management, I want to get fair value for him while we can. Unlike Subban. Girgensons is a very decent player. I hate when people crap on players who are actually good but are in tough situations or had a bad season. The guy has potential but is in the wrong situation. Too many good forwards in Buffalo for Girgensons to get a fair chance. He's only 22.

Here's a refresher in case people forgot.

Thanks. I'd only do Patches for any one of Duchene/Landeskog/MacKinnon. Which ever makes the most sense for Colorado. Def not MAC obviously. Based off what makes sense realistically, Duchene or Landeskog. Either could work.
