There is one piece in the entire Wild organization that even starts a dialogue for Eichel and his name is Kaprizov.

I know, but if we're being at least a little bit realistic (hard to call an Eichel trade realistic at this point) He's not apart of the deal for Minnesota.

However, when everyone was first starting to make all these Eichel trades, my original fantasy offer was:

Eichel
Risto (1M retained)
-
Kaprizov
Dumba
Khovanov
Boldy
2 1sts

Minnesota fans blasted me for it

Buffalo declines. I think Minnesota just doesn't have chips to qualify for Eichel. We are overcrowded on the RDs and we will need centers in return for Eichel, Boldy is not such an attractive prospect.

Yes, Boldy had a horrible first 12 games, but to pretend as if those 12 games defined his season is ridiculous. Still quite an attractive prospect to any team

He is a good prospect but not as the main piece in an Eichel trade

But not as the main piece for Jack. Buffalo and Minnesota are simply not suitable for this kind of trading.

Not really. They're all kind of like Minn needs a goalie. How about Carter Hutton for Fiala. Not very realistic....

This got my attention. The pieces IMO are good value. Let's break it down.
Boldy, Matthew Wow good quality, drafted only 4 steps behind Cozens who you the Sabres love (and so do I). Buffalo has too many LW now, so good value crowded position.
Khovanov, Alexander Excellent quality. Drafted two years ago and has more pts than Cozens and he is a CENTER. Good piece
Dumba, Matt Solid RHD had a couple of off years it appear so his value is down a bit, but I think he will bounce back. Unfortunately he would be Buffalo's 5th RHD.
Beckman, Adam Excellent quality, had more pts and goals than Cozens in the same league. He plays LW, Skinner, Olofsson, Kahun, Johansson all signed. Good value crowded spot.
2021 1st round pick (MIN) I like first round picks. not so good, a year into the future, when you have Jack helping the team move up in the standings.
2022 1st round pick (MIN) Cool another first round pick, two years into the future, maybe too long to wait for this player to develop.
2022 3rd round pick (MIN) I guess this was included just to add another piece.
I hope you understand, good quality, but only Khovanov fills a hole.
If I were to blow up the team this would be a great trade to rebuild upon.
Three good prospects, two first round picks and a solid RHD.
I would need to say no.

That's fair. I was just jumping on Eichel trend that is somehow still going. And even though I knew this wasn't enough, I tried to only use pieces I think Minnesota would be open to giving up.

And as for Dumba being Buffalo's 5th RHD... I'm gonna keep it simple and respectful and just say that I disagree
