And that's the last call from Montreal that a Coyotes GM will ever take

Dude OEL is actually really good. If they did that the start would be Suzuki or Romanov. He’s a legit first pairing guy, who isn’t as known because he plays on the Coyotes.

I like OLE but not at the cost of both Drouin and our 1st. Hell Nurse only costs Drouin + 2nd and he is as good or better than OLE.

You haven’t seen enough of OEL to say Nurse is better than him. I’m talking his overall body of work, which has shown that he is a very good defenseman. Coyotes wouldn’t consider moving him unless it was for a dumb overpay, not to mention that he’s their captain.

I know that it's hard to follow the Coyotes but you should watch more games of OEL and delete that comment after

OEL NMC kills any deal. Ottawa doesn't need two crappy picks to pay AHLer Alzner.

Who says I haven't watched enough Coyotes games to say Nurse is better? I watch any hockey game that is on and especially western Canada games because of the time difference and I don't get to watch them usually until later in the evenings when the West teams are playing. So I watch close to 8 to 10 Coyotes games a year. I still maintain that OLE and Nurse are either even or Nurse is slightly ahead of him.

Alzner last season was with Washington when the Leafs played the Caps in the first round. I watched Alzner specifically knowing he was a UFA. He had lost speed and the ability to pivot, to NHL standards back then. I knew he couldn't hold up to an long NHL schedule back then.
On this site, so many want to Leafs to acquire ANY RHD thinking that one position is going to be a saviour. Like the Habs found out with Alzner, there are lots of players who will be available but are well past their effectiveness as NHLers.

Anderson isn't signing for that little.

As for the trade itself... I'd give it a shot.
