I don't get the point of trading Roslovic for that.

I just don't get the fascination with trading Roslovic especially for just picks, if he's an add on in a big trade to get a much needed quality center or a top RHD then sure but for a pick or two that aren't going to make any difference for at least two seasons at least then what's the point? Are the Jets trying to be good now or three years from now? Look at Samberg, was a 2nd round pick in 2017 and will be playing his first pro hockey in 20-21, the 4th season after he was drafted! Some draft picks take a long time to develop if they even amount to anything at all, picks are nice but they aren't sure things.

And these proposed trades where Roslovic is used to dump Perreault are even worse, would be just another repeat of the gawd awful Mason trade where the Jets lost Armia for nothing.

If all Roslovic is worth is a 2nd and/or 3rd or someone else's B-prospect that hasn't done much then I really don't see what's the point of trading him. I thought he looked pretty good this season and was his best when playing center which is the Jets biggest positional weakness, maybe he can still grow into the 2C they need or at least provide some depth at the position, he is already that though, an option to play center when needed. A bit more production would be nice but he was on pace for 30+ points which isn't terrible and he was shuffled around a lot, not easy to find a groove when you're moved all over the lineup, he spent time playing either center or wing on three different lines including the grinder line, he's kind of a versatile player actually.

Lastly do some Jets fans not realize this was only Roslovic's second full season?! Not every player has the same development curve, it took Scheifele years till he could stay on his feet.. Lol, Roslo's first full season was handled really badly by both the GM and coach, no way he should've been tasked to be the 4C with two other rookies on his wings, Chevy should of added a couple cheap veteran wingers to help him get acclimated to playing center in the NHL.
This season there were some definite strides made in Roslovic's all round game, at this point his value isn't much but there's still top 6 potential, would way rather hang onto him and see how he develops and hope he grows into a top 6 forward then trade him for a so so pick or someone else's meh B-prospect.

I couldn't agree more, for the ice time and linemates he's been given, he's done well.

I have nothing against trading him, but as you say it's pointless if we're trading him for meh. They only way I see him getting moved is in a package deal for a 2C or top 4RHD.

i think he has more chances to show what he can do i have NO PROBLEM TRADING HIM plus i don't think he wants to be here so i would trade him i have taken picks because i do think this draft will provide some big talent in the later rounds and i trust the scouting staff to pick some gems

Thats cool, you do what you want, none of this is real anyway, maybe they trade or maybe they don't but I still see trading him for picks or someone else's meh prospect as a real waste and does nothing to help the Jets now, he's only 23.

Also the Jets scouting staff has found exactly zero gems in rounds 2-7 since relocation to Winnipeg other then Helly but goalies are typically drafted in later rounds so that really isn't all that impressive, hopefully Harkins or Samberg can change that but until they or someone else drafted in any round other then the 1st round can turn into more then a 3rd/4th line player or bottom pair dman I wouldn't hold out any hope that this scouting staff can recognize a gem if they see it.
